The procedure for the issue of special permits

for the transport of such articles as sulphur and

saltpetre is governed by the Regulations for the

Issue of Permits for the Transport of Saltpetre.

All importers of military supplies from

abroad must submit their permits for scrutiny to

the Chinese Embassy or Legation in the country

concerned.

Article 12(12)+

The period of validity for the permit

mentioned in the preceding article shall be, in the

case of Japan, two months; in the case of Europe

and America, six months; if the period be overpassed application shall be made for the issue of a new permit in exchange for the

expired one.

Article 13(13) The Detailed Rules for the Enforcement of

these Regulations shall be separately drawn up.

Article 14(14)

These Regulations shall come into force on

the date of promulgation.
